Big Green Bylaws

I-Name

The name of this organization shall be Big Green Academic Athletic Association (Big Green)

 

II- Objectives

Big Green supports extracurricular activities of the students at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf.

Big Green does business and sponsors events, activities, fundraisers, ect. With the approval of the OSD Administration and the Athletic Director.

 

III- Membership

Membership is open to all OSD Alumni, Staff, Parents of students and other people who are interested upon payments of Annual Dues.

 

Annual Dues to be announced and a deadline to be given out at the annual meeting on athletic enrollment day of the school year.

 

IV- Officers

Officers shall be elected at the annual meeting for the school year. All active members are eligible to hold office. Coaches (of major events)  are not allowed to hold office. The elected officers of this organization shall be:

 

President

Vice President

Secretary

Treasurer

 

V- Committees

Committee Chairs shall be elected at the annual meeting for the school year. All active members are eligible to hold office. The elected chairs of this organization shall be:

 

Public Relations

Membership

Volunteer Recruitment

Special Events

Sports Contact

Fundraising
 

VI- Standing Rules

All general and board meeting times shall be given to all members and Athletic Director in a timely manner.

 

Board Members must approve expenditures.

 

Records must be kept and available for review by the board.

 

All deposits made shall be reported to the treasurer for accurate records.

 

Regular financial statements sent to board members, for example: after fundraiser deposits, donations, expenditures, etc.

 

If at any time Big Green Academic Athletic Association organization folds, all funds are to go to the Athletic Department.


 

We will need to develop rules for the following:

Scholarship

Social Media

Officer/Chair Requirements
